Rebedding Deck Hardware - Torque Requirements?

I plan to rebed the deck hardware on my 2003 Catalina 22 Capri. How critical is the torque specifications on the thru deck bolts.

You want to bring the hardware to the deck while tightening the bolts, squeezing excess sealant out. Hardware shouldn't move and a thin layer of sealant is all that is needed. Use nyloks or lock washers and regular nuts. But they aren't keel bolts so a lot of torque isn't required. Maybe 1/2 turn after the lock washer is flattened. And remember to properly pot the holes with epoxy if the deck is cored. Here's a couple of links to Maine sail's excellent how-to:
