sea wolf windlass help
we have just inherited a seawolf 520 electric windlass dating from about 1989 on a recent boat purchase. The skimpy 4 page instruction book says it is possible to move the chain gypsy manually using the clutch lever tool in order to take up chain but the instructions are confusing. Do you just place the lever tool [an iron bar] into a clutch wheel slot and turn the clutch wheel counter clock wise after engaging the pawl? Thanks.
