New Winch - Which One ?

Going down to Sanctuary Cove boat show in a couple of weeks, 2 new winches are on my list, currently have 2 x 27 Barlows (std) want to upgrade to self tailers, I have 38ft mono masthead rig, Hutton Arco have suggested the 50ST for $1240ea or they can do the 52ST $1580 and upgrade gearing to 57:1 at no extra cost, they will give me $250 trade on each of the old Barlows.

1st speed ratio 2nd speed ratio Drum Base
model(gear) power (gear) powerdia (mm)dia (mm)

50ST (2.3:1) 13.3:1 (8.5:1) 50.0:1 86 165
52ST (2.7:1) 14.4:1 (9.6:1) 52.2:1 94 184
changing gearing would bring it up to the 56ST specs
56ST (2.3:1) 11.6:1 (12.46:1) 56.4:1

HUTTON-ARCO Yacht Winches

and for the main an Electric drive AEH-2 under a 45ST, main meaures
foot 4.9m Luff 11.64m

So which one the 50ST??? or the 52ST??? or is that a waste, would be great to have each set up on each side and give them a try.
