Greasing Hand basin Manual hand pump

I was wondering if anyone know what type grease to use to grease my hand pumps. And how do I do it? Thanks

glycerin, vegtable, or olive oil

or use can use food grade silicone grease. You just want to improve the seal right? If the rubber flange is cracked, you'll need a new one.
