Sealing new windows

Could I use butyl tape to seal my through bolted windows? I like the idea of being able to take them out again if one ever breaks. (They are glass)

If not, what kind of caulk, silicone, adhesive should I use?

Thanks in advance everyone
Ryan

I just bought a window rebuild kit from CatalinaDirect for my Catalina 30. It came with Dow Corning 795 for between the aluminum frame and the glass. Also came with 3M's 4200 for between the aluminum frame and the deck.

I'm not sure how either will work yet...still have to clean up the windows, seal them, and get them installed.

If they are through-bolted...then you should be fine with butyl tape.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
