Trouble Shoot Wind Instrument

I had the same problem - it''s fairly common I guess, but easily fixed. It''s due to the inner parts of the masthead unit wearingout. You can order the new parts from DMI (datamarine) at www.sea-dmi.com. The parts are about $65. You''ll need to take the masthead unit off, it unplugs at the top of the mast for removal. Once you have it down, you just need to take it apart and install the new part (it''s just one part). You can also take it down and ship it to DMI and for a small fee, they''ll rebuild it and send it back to you (it''s pretty cheap, say under $100 for the parts and labor) and then you just need to reinstall the masthead unit.
