Will epoxy glue pvc to metal

The deck fill for my water tank places the screws that secure the fill plate to the deck too close to the edges of the hole. When the screws are installed, they do not get good purchase. I want to seal the edges of the hole with epoxy and make the hole smaller (with glass & resin) so the screws can get a good grip on the deck. The problem is that if I do that, the hose clamps will not then fit thru the hole. I really need a deck fill with a longer tail piece, but failing that, I was wondering if I could epoxy the plastic hose to the metal tailpiece and eliminate the hose clamps?

Well, in my opinion yes but the problem is that you will never be able to remove/change the hose in the future.

you might get the epoxy to grab, depending to exactly what the hose is made out of. there are a couple other options here

first use it as it is and use 4200 to "glue" the fitting in with minimal screw purchase

next is to close the hole smaller and "glue" a longer tail on that you can get to below for the hose clamp

the last option is to close the hole smaller and use a crimp on hose clamp. they are much smaller, do an internet search on pex tubing to get an idea of what i am talking about. somebody should make a bigger version

Put in a new deck fill with a longer tail piece. They aren't very expensive. Install it properly epoxy potting any exposed core and making the hole smaller if necessary. And then you're done for years.
