Decided to replace the stereo on our boat and the remote it came with was IR, which is entirely inadequate IMHO. Maine Sail mentioned iJet in a thread back in '07.

I have a similar RF setup for my home stereo except that it has a small LCD screen on the remote.
I find it convenient to have a screen on the remote for when we can't remember an artist or song name. Found one similar to what Maine Sail suggested, but it now has a screen.
I could only find it at one website ($35). I ordered it on Tuesday and it showed up today (standard shipping was $1.99).

Hooked it up and it works great, just like the DLO remote I have at home. There's a AAA battery for the remote, and the transmitter runs off the iPod (it's a pass through connection on the transmitter too)
I didn't see it when I ordered mine, but if you spend $40 with these guys, they'll throw in the remote Maine Sail mentioned for free. Also, I got a coupon in the mail with mine for $5 off if anyone wants to use it (it says to share with friends, so I'm not breaking any rules).
