Depth transducer

I have to buy a transducer (depth, speed, temp). I'm going to buy a DST800 which can come in plastic, bronze or stainless. The boat is fiberglass.

I have read not to use plastic on a timber boat and the things to watch out for with metal on metal, but what is best for a fiberglass boat?

Plastic is probably your best choice for a fiberglass boat as it will have the fewest maintenance issues.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
