Help -- Sikaflex: I'm sick of it and it flexes

Is it possible to apply too much sikaflex at a keel-hull joint?

It took all day to get to the old Sikaflex, remove it, and apply new Sikaflex (using a thorough, clean-rags wipe with Xylene wipe as a cleaner/primer).

Now, due to my inferior skill on this, I have a huge thick bulging multi-bead of new Sikaflex all around my keel.

Did I go too far?

Do I need to put barrier coat on top of it, or will simple bottom paint suffice?

(Thank goodness I don't have any pictures of it.)

Regards,
Brad

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Brad, did ya drop the keel a little bit or all the way? I've got a CS-36 Merlin coming in next week for a keel rebedding and was curious.
