Affordable Dinghy Cover

After letting my 9"6" dinghy sit in my garage for 3 years, I started using it again (after fixing a leak in it) . Being an older model and pvc, I needed a cover to store it on deck. I looked & looked and being a sailor (cheap) found most to be $50.00 to $100.00 so I looked at the blue tarps in my garage & thought no way, looks too tacky, but wait, what was laying there, an old torn kiddie pool cover. so I looked on line and found a rectangle 10 foot pool cover, Where you might ask .... K Mart $12.00 . Bought it, tried it on for size, seems pretty sturdy, it even has a pull string & clasp to keep tight, & looks as good as any other I have seen except for the huge drowning & suffocation warning sticker . Will it last? If it lasts 3 years I'm in the plus for 50 bucks.
