Arrival of the Lady J. She comes to Baggett and Son's for a makeover...
The Lady J came in today via truck.



We got her blocked off and did an inspection.



We'll start working one her Monday.

So, what do you plan to do to the old girl. These old strip planked boats are really hard to work on. They tended to be edge fastened making it very hard to replace planking or refasten.

On a separate note and somewhat off-topic, she is very much the style of boat that I grew up with. In the past IO have tried to point out that before fin keels with separate rudders became popular there were boats which (whatever you chose to call them) were effectively fin keeled with attached rudders. This is an excellent example showing what in effect is a fin keel with attached rudder.

Jeff, she's carvel planked so it shouldn't be a problem. We're doing a complete restoration on her, including paint, new electrical, engine work etc..
