choke setting

i had to reconnect the choke cable to my a4, and now the choke pull in the cockpit barely moves, hence im afraid im on perma-choke, any idea what i may have done wrong? i do have moyer marines book and will consult it tonight.

1. Loosen the cable connection at the choke so that the cable slides through easily
2. Push the choke knob all the way in
3. Go back to the choke, make sure it's open, tighten down the connection
