PRM Transmission

Has anyone heard of a PRM Transmission? I'm replacing my JS BW-7 transmission with a PRM because Westerbeke says it should fit. My engine is a Westerbeke 38 B-4. The only problem with my JS transmission is a spun bearing in the bell housing. I cannot find a new bell housing anywhere so I need to bite the bullet for a new transmission.

can you disassemble the transmission have it machined & a sleeve installed? years ago i had that happen on the rear axle of a 1 ton truck. i used heavy duty loctite for loose fit ups. i also used it on couplings that were a loose fit on the propeller shaft. this worked out OK.

I did that last year (Lock-tite 601) and after about 90 hours it started to spin again. It seems like a really bad way to hold those cone bearings in place. I had the gear checked out and they said it looked brand new. Anyone need a JS, BW-7 2.47-1 gear?
