Our port engine failed earlier this year that sadly sidelined us in our retirement journey. Instead of rebuilding the port engine that failed, we have decided to replace both of our Volvo engines, Hurth transmissions and props with new Yanmars so we will be good to go for several years. Consequently we are selling our existing machinery and want to offer it to the SailNet group. Details follow below. Please note that the port engine is rebuildable because the failure was due to the rear piston connecting rod big end bearing failure, which would require a new crank shaft along with the rebuild.
the Starboard engine I run weekly and rotate the prop. It runs strong and is very reliable with years of motoring left on the drivetrain.

Two Used Volvo Penta MD 2040 engines, 4500 hours each (one running and one non operational) with two Hurth Marine gear box/transmissions (one original and one newly rebuilt but never installed) Both engines were thoroughly surveyed in August 2009 at 4400 hours each: conclusions from oil samples indicated normal wear and have been professionally maintained since.
