25'''' MacGregor Iron Keel Pattern

I have a 1979 25'' Macgregor with an iron keel. The other day the keel broke off and was unable to salvage. Does anyone know where I can get a pattern to make another out of 2" steel.
Any help would be greatful. I''m not sailing!!!

Thanks,
Deral

Okay, I''ll bite. Inquiring minds need to know... How in the heck did the keel fall off??? Remind me to steer clear of Macgregors’ from now on!

You should be able to find that information at Macgregor’s web site or a club site. You may be able to source out a new keel that way, but if there prone to braking off… Perhaps you’d be better off making your own!

25'''' MacGregor Iron Keel Pattern

I have a Mac 25 and am trying to repair her. The keel was rusty and i had it sandblasted and now the pivot bolt hole is too large. I also need the pattern so that i can plug the hole and drill the hole in the right location in relation to the keel trunk and lock bolt hole. Hope someone can help me
thanks

Macgregor is still in business. I would suggest that you try contacting them.
