As Northstar now sell an uprated Navico plotter, surely they can sell you a power cable. I would suspect the Northstar ex-Navico plotters use the same plugs and sockets.

It probably would be worth a call to Northstar as a lot of their original gear was simply re-labled Navman and as Philip says they are still offering upgraded Navman designs. . Hopefully though they have managed to improve on the original.
Regarding the plugs, I had a look at our Navman 5380 and the power cable is an eight pin type like this.....
If yours has the same eight pin configuration (male on the unit, female on the cord) then I'm still thinking that someone like Radio Shack/Tandy whatever would have. I believe it is called a "Multiplex 8 Pin Din" but don't quote me on that.
