How do I dispose of flotation foam?

As I have talked about in a previous thread, I am removing the waterlogged foam from my 16' rebel and replacing the sole. I started digging out the foam earlier this week and there is a pretty big pile of it and its very very heavy. So how do I get rid of it? Its not recyclable in any way is it? Thanks for any input everybody.......

Depends on what type of foam it is... some foams are made of plastics that are reasonably easy to recycle and can be disposed of via your local recycling center.

Its different everwere BUT here they only recycle #1 and #2 plastic so everthing else gets INCINERATED

If there are any foam products manufacturers in the area, most have a recycling program open to the public. If there aren't any around the best option is the landfill.
You can break/cut it into smaller chunks for disposal, the two part foams will normally drain out if it's in small chunks, styrofoam will need to be crushed to drive the water out.
