Radar Upgrade Question

I currently have a Raytheon RL70 Chart plotter that I really want to replace. I'm looking at the Standard Horizon 300 because of price and good luck with the company, but don't understand if my current Raytheon Pathfinder Radar dome will work with this chart plotter. Were radars proprietary or could you switch domes and plotters to your liking? It seems that almost everything else can be connect via NMEA, but I'm not familiar with how radars connect.

If I have to replace the dome to use radar, I'll save the cash and just add a second screen at the helm and keep the RL70.

I don't think the Pathfinder radar will interface with a CP300. If you check the manuals, the Pathfinder radar cable wiring doesn't match up with the connections required in the Standard Horizon Radar Junction Box. According to their website, the Standard Horizon displays will only connect to Si-Tex radars.
