Full price for a second hand main sail and genoa for Fountaine Pajot Venezia 42

Hi,

I need to buy main sail and genoa for my FP Venezia 42. I am really hurry and I cannot wit for 6 weeks as sailmakers are offering. (I have to present ready made boat to my investors). I am ready to buy second hand sails for price you can buy new ones.
Please let me know, if you would like to change your sails or somebody wants to get rid of those sails.

Don't how can you ask for sails for a boat without that Important information.

i do have some storm sails for a 42.... aka sails from a catalina 25.... lol

We buy used all the time BUT you have to know the #s and for the most part they offen still require a trip to the sailmaker OR a bit of flex on your requirements

Are new USED UK carbon tapedrive #3 on a 35' boat cost 600 dollars and was a bit small BUT this worked out well as we added a short strop which got it off the deck

Sounds like a bit of poor planning if you're presenting a boat to your investors but don't have sails for the boat. What happened to the original sails on the boat? If you bought the boat with out sails, why didn't you plan for getting replacement sails when you bought it?

If you have the measurements, and the specifications for the headsail furler, then you can probably find used sails at Atlantic Sail Traders or Bacon's or any other number of used sail merchants. Without the measurements, you're basically out of luck. I'd point out that the "stock" measurements don't always match a used boat, since modifications might have been made to the boat that affect the sail measurements, like shortening the mast due to hitting a bridge, etc..

I read the request differently.

I don't think he's looking for a set of any used sails that will fit. He's looking for someone with a Fountaine Pajot Venezia 42 who is willing to sell their used set of sails for the cost to replace them with brand new sails. Because he doesn't have time to wait for the delivery of new sails.

Might be a good deal for someone with that exact boat.
