thank you sailingdog

While this probably belongs in 'off topic' I figured it would get seen a bit more here. I just wanted to take a minute of my day to publicly thank sailingdog for his immense contribution to this site and thank him for the time he puts in to giving well thought out answers to about any topic.
While he is obviously not the only one that makes this whole thing work (i.e., thanks to: Faster, Mitiempo, Knotty, GeneT, JeffH, Pollard, CruisingDad, TDW, D030, rmeador, midlife, heck even smacky--please don't flog me if you've helped me and I didn't put you here--and countless others, he goes above and beyond...

anyway, this place is so neat because of everyone here, and I just wanted to say thanks.

your pal,
Quinn

That'll do pig, that'll do.
Seriously though, Sailing Dog or SD as I often see him referred is a very knowledgeable though sometimes cantankerous old chap. He has given his share of advice to me as well. Gratis.

Dog, just gets lucky once in a while. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Oh great, QM is hammered again and getting all huggy. "I love you man! Buurrrrp."

No - you're right. Dog can be a total goof, but that dude knows more about more stuff than anyone I've ever seen.

Here's to you Dog!

I thought the dog was just some search engine / computer program that Dan invented to answer sailing questions, and give spammers a hard time...

Yes, Sailingdog is great, attitude and all. I plan on growing up to be just like him once I learn what the hell I'm doing on my boat.
