Xantrex Linklite and Pro Battery Monitor

Any thoughts on either one? Looking for a battery monitor and they keep coming up as versatile. Are they difficult to install? We have six 6volt batteries (4 for house bank and 2 for windlass) and one 12volt #31 starting battery. Currently, we have no way of monitoring our usage.

All comments appreciated. Thank you.

Check out the Victron BMV600 or 602. The 600 monitors one bank, the 602 handles two. Very easy to install and much cheaper than Xantrex. I installed the 600 and am very happy with it. I only monitor my house bank which is 4 6V batteries. Jamestown Distributers is one of the main retailers for them.

I second that.

The Victron BMV-602 unit will do exactly what you want, is very easy to install has great support and Jamestown have them in stock. What's not to like??

Ditto what MJ and Hart said above. I have the Victron 600 on my boat. Installation was about an hour and very straight forward. Much of my time was spent making the additional grounding cable to install the shunt.

Heh. Yes, although it stands to reason you'd need it and that it isn't something they could be expected to provide, it would be nice if they told you about that beforehand!
