Gosh thanks everyone. Am planning to set out for Isla Mujeres from Key West December the 10th if the North wind doesn't look like it is going to make for some ugly seas. Before I leave you can be sure that I will come back to this post to compare some of the weather forcasts

Weather Sites

For offshore we use "Bouy Weather". On shore in the bay "Sail Flow". Also listen to Chris Parker every morning when cruising the Bahama's.

I always try to get the results of several of the big computer models. The GFS model forms the basis of many of the forecasts mentioned above, so I also check the
Navy's NOGFAPS model at https://www.fnmoc.navy.mil/wxmap_cgi/index.html

I have used most of these & found all to be pretty much of a crap shoot.Wu seems to do well with tropical.marc

Windfinder

I'll seond Windfinder.com. It has a good iPhone app as well.

Although I'm a newbie, it has veen very accurate so far.

I always check out weather365.net they also have a good app. But as I asked in a different post, do you know any other good (weather) apps?
