Favorite internet weather source

Just wanted to hear who has a favorite web page that they go to for getting the weather forcast. Also if you have a spot that you like to go to look up weather patterns for some area at a given time of year. There seem to be alot of places that you can get this information but I know that some are better than others for ease of use, amount of detail and accuracy.

I'd second weather underground, and also recommend using:

Passageweather.com

Sailflow.com

Noaa.gov

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

We usually check out several sites:

o NOAA/NWS
o Weather Underground
o Wind Mapper

After comparing and contrasting the reults fom the three sites, we generally feel comfortable that we have a 50% chance of not being surprised

Weather Underground is the NOAA forecast, repackaged. NOAA gives you the option to get "text only" - helpful if you're in the boonies with limited bandwidth. W.U. conveniently has everything in one place but is data-intensive, especially the ads. Anyone use SailFlow?

Here's another

Surf Reports, Surf Forecasts and Surfing Photos

While touted as a site for surfers, we sailors need to know wind and wave predictions too.
I really like the way they can put a three day forecast data set into animation.

LB

ps: Sailflow is popular around our club, too.

My favorite is Windfinder - wind, wave & weather reports, forecasts & statistics / webcams, satellite images, isobar maps, tides

Some features:
- Forecasts of wind, gusts, precipitation, etc. by hour for all 24 hours
- Two independent forecasts plus local forecasts
- Tons of locations worldwide including offshore buoys
- Historical wind reports with gusts, wave reports, wind statistics for each location
- Great Android application that provides all of the above and is very user-friendly

RichH will become famous soon enough
passage weather, noaa 'ocean prediction center', (and Chris Parker of Caribbean Wx on SSB).
Windfinder.com for lake sailing but not ocean or 'coastal sailing'.
