Dufour Arpege lead car question...

The sheaves on my lead cars are pretty rough. Does anyone know who manufactured these lead cars ... circa 1972? If not, has anyone replaced theirs? Where did you find them?

Thanks,
Lawson

Post a picture, - that would help, and/or describe the dimensions of your track.. it's likely that there's a number of different cars that could be used on your track.

Any machine shop or hobbyist with a lathe could produce replacement sheaves, the difficulty may be in actually replacing them, though.

Photos of the cars in question would help. Also, you might consider that the cars may not be original to the boat, given the boat is almost 40 years old.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Assuming you can replace the sheaves, Zephyrwerks will be able to duplicate what you need. They do great work and their pricing is very reasonable.

blt2ski will become famous soon enough
You might look up Goiot.com, they did quite a few of the European deck gear in the past. BUT, as mentioned, even if it is goiot, they do list old products online, you may not be able to get an exact replacement. I had this issue with my 85 Jeanneau, so what I have replaced has been with Harken, and a smattering of Lewmar.
