commissioning checklist?

I have just purchased a 26'' sailboat (my first) and need to make a several day cruise to get her home. The boat is currently sitting on the hard in MI, and I am in FL. No, I''m not taking it all the way to FL, just a few hundred miles. I will arrive at the boat on May 24, and will only have a few days to get launched and underway. I am looking for a list of what I need to have onboard. Many things are obvious: life jackets, radio, GPS, binocs, etc., but I have concern about overlooking something very important. Any and all suggestions for the list will be greatly appreciated.

Seems to me no matter how much you fret over it you WILL forget something you believe you need. But somehow you will make your land-fall....

You said this is your first boat. How much experience do you have sailing on other peoples boats ? Are you single handling on this trip ? What is condition of the boat and how well fitted ?
