Main Halyard Winch

I have a Le Comte 38' NEII. It has a wire Main Halyard Winch. I'm going to replace it. The current winch is 4.5" in diameter (base) and has 6 threaded mounting screws in the pad spaced evenly 2" apart. Does anyone have any suggestions on what a good rope replacement would be? Thanks!

I suspect you'll need to take a pattern of the old base and go do some winch browsing at your nearest suppliers (or on-line). You'll be very lucky to find a match.

Faster is right. I doubt there is a winch with the exact spacing. Best to buy the winch that will do the job the best and then modify the mount to suit.

Personally I like Anderson winches - made about 400 miles from the Lecomte yard.
