Yanmar YSE 12 Breather Valve Question

Hey folks, I've got a YSE 12 single cylinder on my Catalina 30 and she is spurting oil. I was told that the reed valve might be installed incorrectly or it might be damaged so I'm going to take the breather valve assembly off to inspect the reed valve. Does anyone have any pictures of how it should be installed and/or tested or can describe in detail how it should be. Thanks for any advice.

John
