The new Airforce Main arrived a couple of weeks ago. First of all I have to say that the folks were very fast and courtous ( despite my messed up measurements ) Everythimg got corrected before the sail was built, and 4 weeks later I got it.
The moment of truth was when I first put it on the boat. Those are daunting minutes to see if everything fits or not.

But of course, everything was ok. Better fit than hoped for actually.

And than came the second moment of truth: how does sail perform..

Well let me say this. Last year I was racing in our club series in the ( very ) lower third, Now I am in the upper middle and last weekend I actually won my first FIRST place.

WOOHHOOO we are coming from way back behind and now we are kicking butt. Mostly due to the new AIRFORCE headsail. ( The VC 17 racing bottom helps as well )

Chances for a third place overall place in the Spring series are not completely remote. Wish me and the 32 year old wood boat with the new Airforce Main a little luck for the last upcoming race, will ya ... )

p.s. pricing The price of the sail was definitely a big plus as without all the extras ( Strong system batten cars and Strong System sliders ) the price was 30 % less than the closest competitor !!!
