New sail cover
The sail cover for my main has seen better days and I'm pricing replacement options. Has anyone purchased a per-made, non-custom "generic" cover from Sailwarehouse.com? I'm wondering how well that might fit. I asked them to send me dimesions of the generic cover for an 11 foot boom but they refused to do so. The price is about half of what a local sailmaker wants to build a custom cover for me and over $100 less than even Sail Rite for a custom-built. I'd hate to throw my money away if the fit is big and baggy or otherwise way off. Any experiences with these?

We bought a premade from a company called Softopper and it has worked fine for the past three years. I may do a few minor modifications this year with our Sailrite sewing machine, but it isn't necessary. Here is a link Main Sail Cover
We got the 10-11 foot version, which is fine for our boom, although it doesn't cover the very end of the boom itslef (covers the sail fine). We make most of our canvas projects ourselves (bimini, dodger, companionway cover, etc.) but for the money and work involved we felt the premade sail cover was the way to go.

I have the WM house brand blue one and it works well, though i do have to tie down the boom section with extra line. the mast closure section uses those spin type deallies (like a dodger connector) that can be a wee bit tight to button up.
