GPS NMEA 0183 output

Good Morning:
I'm in the process of replacing most of my instruments and have purchased a stand alone A.I.S Radar that needs to have a NMEA 0183 inpu via my gps, I also need to add a GPS repeater, my question is: Can I have multiple instruments connected to the GPS NMEA 0183 output blue wire, as I also need to connect my VHF and possibly others such as wind and autohelm. could I add them all via a buss bar or am I asking for instrument meltdown. If not what might my options be?

The NMEA 0183 specification allows for FOUR LISTENERS to a SINGLE TALKER, so you could have your AIS, VHF and autopilot inputs (LISTENERS) all connected to your GPS's NMEA 0183 output (TALKER).

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I'd expect your manual for the AIS would have detailed wiring diagrams for this.. if not then the GPS or pilot manuals would.

Even if you don't have the books anymore most are available online, often free.
