Icom M127 VHF Question

Is there a remote microphone (with speaker and full controls) available for the Icom M127 VHF?

My M127 came on the boat. I have the manual, and it does not show a remote mic as an accessory. I was wondering if one possibly came along later.

Or maybe there is something non-Icom that works? (I kinda doubt it...)

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Icom M-127 was voted 2000's Best Fixed VHF Radiotelephone by the NMEA, just as it was in 1997, 1998 and 1999. That is 11 years ago!!! One of these days its going to die!!! It only has DSC is you attach a UX-130 DSC Unit to it (if you can find one it runs about $50). The original spec does not indicate a remote mic option.

The cheapest ICOM 422 which as a remote option runs +/- $170 online, with the remote another $120.
