Bowmar vs. Lewmar Flush Hatches

Am looking at a new boat that feature Bowmar flush hatches. Have heard some comments indicating that Bomar's aren't as good as Lewmars and am thinking of requesting an upgrade to the latter. Would be interested in feedback on both brands, as well as any others worth considering. Thanks
