Signal Mate masthead lights

Has anyone had any experience with the Signal Mate masthead light products?

They seem nice, but $400 for a combo masthead and decklight seems incredibly steep to me. They also have a horn/light signal system that automatically does the proper sequence of lights and sounds for when you are in the fog. Very cool idea, totally patented up the wazoo by them, and $500!!!

Personally, I am obtaining LEDs from ledwholesalers.com and superbrightleds.com and retrofitting all of my series 25 aquasignal lights for about $80. A LOT less than what signal mate wants.

Yea, well I want the tri color option on masthead and their unit is $369, so it is competitive and got a good review in Practical Sailor anyway. But I will retrofit my deck running lights as you suggest. Thanks
