Autohelm ST50 Plus Wind problem

The wind-direction vane on the masthead transducer of my Autohelm ST50 Plus Wind is frozen in place & won't show wind direction (the wind speed works fine). I removed the vane, and the rod to which it was attached will not turn. I assume there's some corrosion there.

Does anyone have a schematic or know how to take the masthead unit apart, for repair?

Is there a company that will repair it? Raymarine won't.

I tried to Private Mail you, but I don't post enough to allow me to private mail. I think I freed up the corrosion in the wind transducer--much soaking with PB Blaster. My only concern now is if the PB blaster did something bad to the electronics in the transducer.

Were you able to get it working correctly. In my case the vain points correctly but the anemometer doesn't turn unless we have a very strong wind. I'm thinking it mint be junked up.

Ron,
McMaster Carr has small metric ball bearings that will fit the transducer. There is not much electronics and the unit is easy to take apart.

My Autohelm St-50 windvane was damaged during re-installation. I am looking for a schematic or a knowledgeable repair person. Any ideas?

Hi all
Did anyone find a solution to the jammed wind direction vane. We took it off and lubricated so that it then turned but then the digital display only showed 2 dashes. The wind speed was no longer showing. Not sure if this means it needs recalibration or is broken.
