Gas Tank Covers

Hi all!

I was just inspecting one of several gas cans (the red plastic type) I keep on deck (33 foot hunter - I'm a live-a-board) and found some cracks on the corners. I imagine this is from several years spent on deck in the Florida sun. I decided to throw it out. Anyway, I've got the red sailrite machine and am always on the lookout for little projects. Anyone ever hear of a sunbrella cover for a jerry can stored on deck?

Thanks!

I've seen them, probably made by the user. In a place like Florida, Mexico, or the tropics many items can benefit from light colored covers to keep them cooler and away from UV.

Improvise Scout some restaurants that sell wine by the glass It usually comes in plastic bags covered in silver inside cardboard boxes that house the wine. The small ones 5 litre can be bought in super markets but they are to small you need the commercial bags. There you have it water proof, sun reflective and easy to store.

My biggest concern was if there was any hazards with covering those cans on deck. I can't see any but I thought I'd throw it out there. Thanks guys!
