CDI Flexible Furler

Can a CDI Flexible Furler be used for furling and reefing of the head sail, or are they for furling only.

Thanks in advance,

David

I installed an FF-7 on a Pearson 28. I had a new 120% jib made by North with the wedge that improves reefing. I have successfully reefed to about 90% with reasonable sail shape. More than that it gets too baggy, especially for beating into a stiff wind, but still good for reaching and running.

ps. What I mean about reasonable is it works for just sailing around, but you wouldn't accept its shape for racing.

Downwind, I have reefed it to about 25% in 30 kt wind on my 28' S2.
