Summary of Rocna Crib notes

The crib notes are now 72 responses and many pages. I don't have time to read them all, or the original 400+ thread on Rocna vs Mansion. If someone could , please summarize so I'll know what to think...

A clawfoot tub is the best anchor that money can buy.

... Just make sure that you don't get one from China. Or New Zeland, or Australia, or Earth...

We're still in the posturing stage, but the Urination has yet to commence

Eherlihy: Do we need the taps on that tub for extra grip, or is that where we tie the rode? lol

I still want to know what's better in a self defense situation. A Rocna, a Glock Model 23, or a Remington 870 pump. Anyone with actual experience using a Rocna or a Manson Supreme in a self defense situation, please respond.

I think both listed items are more suitable to an offensive use. Just ask Jimmy Hoffa.

The best my research suggests, the MS may create the most shrapnel on impact and the Rocna may fail to fire.

Jeanneau 54DS

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.

I think I'll stick w/ my Remington. I deffinatly don't have time to waste reading all the posts. It's 5 o'clock somewhere. Drop whatever anchor you have and chill out!
Jim
p.s. I was planning on getting a larger anchor for my new boat and I've ordered a manson supreme to replace my CQR

There are other anchors beside Rocna? Inconceivable!

Rocnas have rusted, I have seen it! Anybody want a peanut?
