Sealing glass into Aluminium Frame
I'm currently attempting to cure a window leak on the starboard window of my Sadler 25, I've removed the frame and glass and disassembled the lot.

The frame part of the window is in two parts that slide onto the glass from either end and clamps together in the middle, the glass sits in a deep channel in the aluminium.
Then the whole lot is clamped to the side of the cabin, it's the aluminium that sits against the glass fibre though, not the glass.

I need some advice on the best sealant for sealing the glass in the aluminium channels. Special glass Silicon, Sikaflex, Butyl rubber?

Have a friend in the building industry. Showed him my just purchased roll of butyl. He called it Glazer's Tape, it's what they use to seal windows in commercial building applications. Sounds like just what you need.

I use Sikaflex.
