prop won''''t turn

My friends Hunter legend 35.5 had the prop fouled by a mooring line. It wrapped around the shaft and killed the engine. We unwrapped it, the engine started fine but now the prop won''t turn. Is their some type of shear pin that I would need to replace on the prop shaft. If so, where is it? Its not my boat and

Last year I had the unhappy experience of reversing over my dinghy tow line. I''m told that everyone does it once....or were people just being nice?

This may sound simple, but are you sure that you have all the rope out? In my little (mis)adventure the rope moved up into the shaft housing. It was sufficient to bend the shaft.

Sounds like someone should get down in the engine compartment and see if the transmission is turning when put in gear.
If the shaft coming out of the transmission is not turning then you might want to call a professional.
