Sailboat Junkyards

Hello everyone. My wife and I just bought an Ericson 27 in need of many little things. Such as a stern rail, some interior trim, cushions and so forth. I've been using google searches for sailboat junk yards and haven't had much luck and was wondering if any of you'all out there might know of some place or website that could be helpful.

Thanks,
-Sean

There are very few consignment and secondhand sources for boats and AFAIK no "junkyards" (breakers' yards) that are open to the public. The question is, where are you, or where are you able to go looking? Tampa, FLL, Seattle...not many of them.

Go to anything-sailing.com, then to the maintenance forum, at the top is a used equipment supplier list thread...good luck...

Thanks for the advise! I'm in Oregon which isn't exactly Sailing Central but relatively close to Seattle. I'll try ericsonyacht.org or .com and see what comes up.

Thanks again!

Practical Sailor had a listing along with an article about used gear chandleries in their Feb, 2011 issue. Two in the PNW you may want to check out are Second Wave in Seattle, and The Marine Exchange in Port Townsend.
