Heating butyl tape?

I am a user and believer in butyl tape but never have heated it as was suggested in the thread concerning chainplates. I would appreciate some info on how some of you heat butyll tape. Thanks

How foolish of me... a heat gun or hair dryer of course would do the trick. I went right past the picture. Sorry about that

I worked with it when the temps were in the low 40s. It was very easy to work with. Nice and soft, gooey, sticky. :)

I love the stuff.
