dinghy Davits on a 1989 Hunter 28???

hey experts!
looking to purchase a 1989 Hunter 28 but desperately need to know if adding the davits is a possibility. The formation of the stern seems like it might be difficult to do, anybody done it/seen it/ know it's possible??? THANKS!
Matt

I posted an answer in Gen'l Discussion forum. It's not good form to post the same question twice, my friend. Maybe it was just a mistake.

My personal opinion but isn't 28 foot a little small for davits? Most smaller yachts where I live just tow behind.

I agree that a 28 footer is too small for davits. I note you are in Denver. Where is the boat going to be sailed? Lake Dillon or one of the other nearby lakes? If so, towing is the way to go.

thanks guys! I will keep all this in mind, the boat will be cruising in the bahamas. I've experienced towing a dinghy and it is very easy, but I gotta be able to get to 6kn to get those Mahi! Hence the davits. We'll see when I get down there.
All responses appreciated

Plan on deflating the dinghy and stowing onboard on longer passages or when bad weather is predicted. And I recommned never towing with the motor on the dinghy. I see people doing it, but I think you are just asking for trouble.
