Looking for Old Garmin Parts

We have a gpsmap 162, but without the A/C adapter cable to be able to load maps or upgrade the software. Anyone know of any GPS "junkyards" out there that might have that kind of adapter? Or, anyone with one of those cables willing to lend it to me for a week or two?

You should link to the Garmin part you need so we have a picture. I've owned a lot of Garmins and never used an A/C (alternating current?) adapter to load software. Are you sure you don't mean a USB or serial port adapter?

The cable I am looking for is this:

(from garmin's website: https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=750)

it allows you to keep the unit powered up while you transfer data from your computer; since the unit doesnt have its own power supply.

FWIW: I did try e-bay and that's why i posted here. I dont want to pay an arm and a leg for something i might use 3-5 times.

We have the part you need. Send me a PM and we'll work out a deal. Trust me when I tell you you'll use it more than 3-5 times. The 162 is/was a very good unit but subject to "black screen death". It is unfortunate that Garmin has adopted the "we don't support old gear" mentality. It insures that once burned, a former Garmin owner won't go there twice.
