Hi All,

Good thread here. I guess it was the Mineral Spirits but that's what I read to thin with. I'll get the right stull next time. I did sand it off and use teak cleaner. It was dark again (not black though as before) but after a year in the sun it's a bit lighter and OK now. It is 40 year old teak. So that may have something to do with it.

Sestero, glad to know you have an Invader. Let's start an Inventory. One owner found the original logo on his boat recently. I've redrawn it and can send it to you. Let's make contact off of this site and hook up.

Yep, exactly what I did. I power washed (gently) and bleached. I was looking today and it's even lighter than it was 6 months ago. A lot of the black has bleached out but the power wash and teak bleach sure helped. It was black as ebony wood before. Now it's just a shade darker then normal teak that's been protected all along.
