Hunter 54 two week update...

It's been a long two weeks on the H-54. As you can see the cabin sole is done except for some trim, fastening and polyurethane coating.

We'll start from aft and work forward...

Here's a couple of shot of what we're dealing with after the teak comes off.



Apparently, Hunter didn't get enough resin against the gelcoat and I can reach down and pull fibers out with my fingers.




Much of the forward housetop is soft and will need recored. The side decks are not as bad. Maybe a layer of glass will do the trick.

Charile - that sole is looking great dude. Very tight.

Bummer on the gelcoat/resin thing. The side decks are cored as well?

Yep but they seem to be in better shape. I'm thinking a layer of glass over the top will take care of them. I'll pull a section of core first to be sure.
