745 - 12oz fibreglass from WestSystem

My local marine supply store's heaviest fabric is 745 - 12oz fibreglass fabric from West System. Will this work for tabbing knee's to the hull, to then mount the chainplates on?

I read on the the West System website that they used 17oz when replacing a bulk head, but I was thinking I would just add an extra layer or 2 of the 745-12oz.

Anyone have any insight on what material will work?

It will work if you use enough layers. Biaxial 1708 is what I would use - it will be available on line if not locally.
