Used Boat Gear

My husband and I are in the process of completely refitting our sailboat. I''m trying to find information on stores that sell used boat parts; winches, stoves, heaters, deck hardware, dorades, ports, hatches, you name it, we need it. We live in Downeast Maine, but are more than willing to take a rode trip as far as Rhode Island for good deals. Any suggestions are appreciated.

there are a few places that I know of in Rhode Island. One is Newport Nautical (www.newportnautical.com) in Newport and with a store in Wickford. There is a 2nd consignment shop in the East Passage Yachting Center complex in Portsmouth, RI. You may also try to do a search online for used gear. I know there are several places in the Annapolis area and in Florida although I realize these are out of your area. Good luck.

Nautical Traders, Bridge Street, Salem Mass.

Lynn Marine Supply, Marblehead, Mass.

Marine Exchange. Used to be on Route 1 South in Peabody, Mass. but they’ve moved to the south shore of Mass, so I’m told.

Boat Stuff in Mystic Conn.

Check our Beacon Boat Basin in Gloucester too.

There’s quite a good used supply at Concordia in South Dartmoth Mass.
