Raymarine SR100 to Radio for Sirius Music Reception

Not sure if anyone has done this. I'm told by Raymarine in order to get Sirius satellite radio stations on my boats radio to connect my SR100 (the current module to receive Sirius weather my on E80) to the back of my Sony marine radio (model CDX M50IP). Well, there is 2 RCA connections (red & white) "Buss in", and there are 2pair RCA "Rear Out/In".

Then comming out of the SR box is just a 4 prong (male) "audio" socket.

All thoughts appreciated on how I could do a connection. The current RCA In on the radio is used at times for the iPod.

Thanks much for all thoughts

DS

Sounds like you will need a special cable with the 4-prong female on one end and two RCA plugs on the other. May need to make it up if you can find the 4-prong female connector, but not the complete cable.

You will need the SR100 audio cable as shown at raymarine.com. Search for SR100/SR50 Audio Cable.

You can then make the connection to the radio just as you do with the iPod.

So if I understand you correctly, it would plug into the 2 RCA type sockets in the back of the Sony?

I have my sirius connected through an AUX port on the front of the stereo. I googled your model number and it looks like you have one too. Ipods connect through the AUX also from the headphone jack. Much easier than going into the back.

Yes, you can plug the Raymarine cable into RCA audio inputs on your Sony.
