Exclamation Hurth transmission advice needed

While sailing this weekend I evidently blew a seal on my transmission. The bilge was filled with red trans fluid. I had also heard a slight rattling while under power that day that I couldn't trace. My boat is a 1972 Hallberg-Rassy Rasmus 35 with a Perkins 4-108 and Hurth transmission.

Can anyone recommend a good mechanic who would come to the boat and advise me? I'm in Alameda, California. I don't want to get her into some boat yard without a good idea of what I might be in for!

Any advice or recommendations greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Bay Marine Diesel in Oakland off the Embarcadero or Sven's Yard. You could also try Seapower on Kennedy Street off the estuary near the Park St. bridge.
